Maleeha graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with her Bachelor's Degree in Global Studies with a focus in Global Health and Environment. She also minored in Medical Anthropology and Chemistry. She was recognized for being a Carolina First Honors Scholar, a Carolina Covenant Scholar, and a Buckley Public Service Scholar. After undergrad, she worked as the chief medical scribe in the Emergency Department at UNC Rockingham Health Care for two and a half years. She also has experience working and volunteering at Annie Penn Hospital, Moses Cone Hospital, Wake Forest Baptist Health High Point Medical Center, UNC Chapel Hill Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pruitt Health Rehabilitation Center, Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates, UNC Children's Hospital, Central Regional Psychiatric Hospital, The American Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity. She is now in route to peruse her own professional career in emergency medicine.
Maleeha was born and raised in North Carolina. She is the mother of a newborn baby girl. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, cooking, jigsaw puzzles, and traveling.
